Events by QRRRWN
Connecting our members is central to QRRRWN’s mission. A key way we try to do this is through hosting and collaboration on events where people meet face-to-face. We are working toward balancing our flagship State levels event, such as the Annual Conference (Charleville, October 2020) and Ekka High Tea (Brisbane, August 2020), with events conducted on a smaller scale at a local level.
In 2020 we have established a collaboration with Zonta Club and Zonta E-Club Queensland to bring you two events for International Women’s Day. We have also collaborated with James Cook University in Townsville for an International Women’s Day morning tea. All events have inspirational keynote speakers.
Hosting a Local Event
If you are interested in hosting a local event, please get in touch with Megan Kuhn at eso@qrrrwn.org.au. We have the ability to support some of the marketing, social media and collaboration required. A best approach is to collaborate locally and work together and seek to include QRRRWN in activities you know of locally.
Getting Involved in Events
Other ways to support QRRRWN events is to become involved in those already on our program. If you would like to join our volunteering program or are interested in specific events, email eso@qrrrwn.org.au.
Supporters of QRRRWN Events
In 2019 and 2020, the Federation for Rural Regional Renewal (FRRR) has provided funding for QRRRWN’s ‘Thriving Women, Thriving Communities Project’ that includes QRRRWN’s annual conference and the Strong Women in Leadership Awards. Their support also enables other programs such as Volunteering and establishing Regional Teams.
We are deeply grateful to FRRR for their ongoing support to ensure that these events and programs are made accessible to our members and other rural, regional and remote women.
Our long term sponsors, Westpac have enabled the work of QRRRWN for many years and we are grateful for their continued support of rural, regional and remote women.
Thank you to our Supporters
