Events by QRRRWN
Connecting our members is central to QRRRWN’s mission. A key way we try to do this is through hosting and collaboration on events where people meet online & face-to-face.
In 2020 we have established a collaboration with Zonta Club and Zonta E-Club Queensland to bring you two events for International Women’s Day. We have also collaborated with James Cook University in Townsville for an International Women’s Day morning tea. All events have inspirational keynote speakers.
Hosting a Local Event
If you are interested in hosting a local event, please get in touch with Megan Sidebottom (previously Kuhn) at eso@qrrrwn.org.au. We have the ability to support some of the marketing, social media and collaboration required. A best approach is to collaborate locally and work together and seek to include QRRRWN in activities you know of locally.
Getting Involved in Events
Other ways to support QRRRWN events is to become involved in those already on our program. If you would like to join our volunteering program or are interested in specific events, email eso@qrrrwn.org.au.
Supporters of QRRRWN Events
Our Youth Program & Mentoring is made possible by the Office of Women and the Queensland Government.
In 2019 and 2020 our Annual Conference and the Strong Women in Leadership Awards are supported by:
- the Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal;
- Office of Women and the Queensland Government through their support of both the SWLA Awards and bursaries and the Youth Program which is conducted at the conference;
- Panda Pearls generously supports our Annual Conference and SWLA by donating gifts for speakers, prizes for awardees and raffles.
We are also fortunate to have received funding for our programs from a range of other sources including the Financial Planning Association and local sponsors where events are held.
Upcoming Events
We are currently updating our Calendar of Events for 2021 and will be published soon for your information. In the meantime, please check out our IWD events coming up in early March celebrating Women achievements. Tickets are now for sale for 7 events QLD wide.
