Opportunities for Mentoring
We believe there is great value in mentoring across a range of life areas, interests and during challenges and times of change. We have received feedback from members that mentoring is key area where they feel they could derive benefit. The QRRRWN Board will explore if it can deliver a mentoring program for members, either directly or in collaboration with another organisation when funding permits.
In the meantime, we have found that the depth of talent in the QRRRWN Network reveals many gifted business women and coaches who are skilled and experienced in mentoring. We will gather these name here so that you can directly form your own connections to see if mentoring is right for you. Not sure? Read ‘Do I need a mentor?’ below.
If you practising in the area of mentoring, a current financial member and wish to be listed here, please contact Megan Kuhn at eso@qrrrwn.org.au.
Do I need a mentor?
How would I know if mentoring would assist me to achieve what I want to do?
Below are some questions that may assist you to know if being mentored could be useful to you:
- Are there some things you would like to change in your life or in your local community but are not sure where to start?
- Are you eager for personal and/or professional growth but don’t have the time, the financial resources, the support, (etc., etc., etc.) at the moment?
- Have you tried and found networking a waste of time and effort?
Mentoring does not necessarily mean that we must follow someone or that having a mentor will intrude in our way of life or take away our time. If we think of mentoring as asking for assistance with a need we might have, then being mentored is something we do for a specific reason and for a limited time.
We can look for someone who can mentor/advise us as we work to meet each challenge in going forward or advise us with each step we need to take along the way (rather than thinking of mentoring as a whole package…following someone in order to get to a final destination).
If anything you have read here resonates with you, try talking it over with a trusted person.
Some options for you to consider
- Please note, we do not endorse any provider of mentoring listed here or on our social media and closed Facebook group. We strongly recommend you carry out your own research before commencing any program. QRRRWN does not cover any costs.
