Moving to a Virtual Program
We are taking steps to move as many of our programs to a virtual format. Our current offerings that can be accessed by all members that are online or by teleconference include:

Virtual Delivery – Education & Empowerment Program
Virtual – Sponsored Governance Training Offering
We are excited to make available 10 sponsored opportunities for governance and leadership training opportunity to our members and the SWLA ALUMNI, as part of the QRRRWN Education and Empowerment Program.
Three options are on offer which will allow people to engage in the most suitable form of delivery to suit their preference and location. We want to inspire our members to be involved despite being further away from Toowoomba by offering an online option.

This online course explores the fundamentals of governance and directorship. Understand the role of the board, directors and management in a well-run organisation. Whether you are looking to enter the boardroom, a senior manager, or a new director, this course will help you become more effective in your role.

✅ Reporting to the Board – Online – Starts 27th April (valued at approx. $500)
This course examines how to establish effective reporting procedures from executives to the board. It outlines the main types of reports, their legal requirements, how to write them and how they are used.

✅ Governance Training with Julia Telford from Engage and Create Consulting – Face to Face in Toowoomba – Post COVID, date to be advised
Only cost of training is covered. Accommodation & Travel is at the expense of participants. EOIs for this training will be held until it is rescheduled.

QRRRWN have asked for assistance from major supermarkets to allow families and businesses on remote and rural properties some leniency with current shopping restrictions.
QRRRWN are supporting other agricultural groups as they advocate government to adjust restrictions for rural and remote businesses and families where it is reasonable.
