2020 Strategic Plan & Key Goals
This Strategic Plan extends to June 2020. It drives our commitment to connecting, inspiring and developing rural regional and remote women in Queensland. It sets out how we meet the objectives under the QRRRWN Constitution and outlines our vision, mission, core values and goals for 2020 that were set by the Board in December 2019.
2020 Key Goals are:
1. Ensure people within the network can connect with one another & feel connected
2. Financial stability today and into the future
3. Conduct 2 or 3 events at the State level
4. Develop our member value proposition to meet member needs.
Continued funding for 2020
In 2019 and 2020, the Foundation for Rural Regional Renewal (FRRR) has provided funding for QRRRWN’s ‘Thriving Women, Thriving Communities Project’ that includes QRRRWN’s annual conference and the Strong Women in Leadership Awards. Such medium term funding enable QRRRWN to plan its work and establish strategic goals in order to support rural, regional and remote women.
We are deeply grateful to FRRR for their ongoing support to ensure that these events and programs are made accessible to our members and other rural, regional and remote women.
Westpac has been a longterm sponsor of QRRRWN and their ongoing support provides us with the ability to plan into the future and establish continuous programs to support rural, regional and remote women.
QRRRWN’s Funding & Grants Team
Thank you to the 2018 and 2019 Board, in particular Melissa Barnett, Susan Bryant and Helen Warnock, whose work has secured the above funding and sponsorship relationships.
SUPPORT OUR PARTNERS
Our Commitment to Rural, Regional & Remote Women
Our strategic plan focus on both our members and their unique needs together with the founding objectives of QRRRWN. Keeping members at the centre of what we do, through regular feedback channels and our direct engagement is crucial to QRRRWN’s effectiveness. We aim to ensure that our decisions about programs, education, training and support mechanisms are evidence based, informed by research and by the needs of members. We are keen to strengthen our ability to build strong working relationships with government agencies and with the communities where our members are situated to ensure the delivery of our work and its longevity in supporting rural, regional and remote women.
Consultation Process
An updated strategic plan will be released after June in 2020. The strategic plan will be informed and developed after extensive consultation with members, partners, sponsors, government agencies, our supporters and other stakeholders including current board members. The draft strategic plan will then be provided to QRRRWN members for comment prior to being presented to the board for approval and adoption.
