2019 QRRRWN Strong Women Leadership Awards

QRRRWN Strong Women Leadership Awards (SWLA) program exists to identify, acknowledge and applaud the leadership strengths of Queensland rural, regional and remote women.

The Awards program recognises Rural, Regional and Remote (RRR) women who are the invisible threads holding their local communities, regions, sectors and industries together and connecting them with the wider world.

The 2019 SWLA program invites nominations in seven (7) categories.

There are also several categories specifically focused on younger women, those still emerging and developing their leadership interests and capacities.

AWARD CATEGORIES

Award entrants may apply for more than one award. Please note, guidelines for each category vary, and awards are considered on the merits of outlined criteria.   Nominees are considered equally, whether self-nominated or third party nominated. Please read each category carefully, including the age criteria.

The categories are broken into three streams:-

1. QRRRWN Woman of the Year

This award celebrates the achievements of women who have made significant contributions to high priority issues in Queensland. Nominations are welcome for this major award, but can also be accepted from the judging panels of the other six awards.

2. RRR Awards

There are five opportunities for nominations to celebrate inspiring women in business, leadership, volunteering and storytelling. See below for details.
